The program leads three initiatives: Faith Angle Forum, Aspen Religion Fellows, and Aspen Religion & Philanthropy. Since 2018, Josh has led Faith Angle Forum, a program that strengthens reporting and commentary on how religious believers, religious convictions, and moral arguments affect American politics and public life. In addition to a twice-monthly podcast, each year Faith Angle convenes four multi-day forums intentionally “away” from the power centers of Washington, London, New York, and Los Angeles—inviting journalists to go deep with top religion scholars on contemporary issues. Our Religion Fellows program convenes 10 exceptional leaders in five sectors over an 18-month cycle, and our Religion & Philanthropy convenes 15-20 philanthropy executives for twice annual summits with leading clerics and scholars who are thinking long-term about American religious diversity and health. Josh previously served as a director for the Kern Family Foundation’s Faith, Work, and Economics Program, and before that as manager of the American Enterprise Institute’s outreach program to faculty & student leaders at Christian colleges. Josh holds a BA in history from Covenant College and a master’s degree in Christianity and Culture from Harvard University, and his work has been published in The Hill, The Times (London), National Review, Deseret News, The American, and in Routledge Press.
